The Bristol Press – Lake Compounce kicks off a new season with a new event
BRISTOL – Lake Compounce will kick off its 2022 season with a new event – Kids Fest. The weekends from April 30 to May 22 will be dedicated to children at the Bristol theme park.
Kids Fest will feature additional activities, entertainment and special characters to the park’s already wild rides and treats. The fun will take place at Kiddie Land, the home base of Kids Fest.
According to Lake Compounce, guests of all ages can participate in bubble dancing parties, mingle with balloon flyers, stilt walkers, jugglers and, for the first time, meet beloved children’s characters Arthur and Pete. the cat. Photo ops and meet and greets with Arthur will be available from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on April 30, May 1, and May 14 and 15 and meet and greets with Pete the cat will be available from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and May 8 and May 21 and 22.
“Kiddie Land in Lake Compounce is the place to be this spring,” said Lake Compounce general manager Jeffery Davis. “We’re rolling out the red carpet for our special guests Arthur and Pete the Cat, and we’re ready for this pint-sized party to take place every weekend this spring.”
Lake Compounce is also looking for employees this season. Lake Compounce said it recently significantly increased pay rates for key positions, including rides, food and beverage, and water sports. New hires in these roles can now earn up to $18 per hour, with no experience required. An open job fair will be held on Saturday, April 9 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the main entrance.
