Learn something new in your golden years and be part of a fun group. This six-week course meets once a week for beginners, so no experience is necessary. The library will provide recorders, and there will be light refreshments and social time.
Lessons will be taught by Lucy Henry, and the class will be open to the first 15 participants. Registration is required and can be done by visiting calendar.jvbrown.edu, https://bit.ly/3MZOkdj or by calling 570-326-0536.
This program supports the state initiative PA Forward by providing social and civic literacy opportunities for learning and highlighting the transformative nature of public libraries within a community. Libraries contribute to education, employment, entrepreneurship, engagement and empowerment, but are often overlooked as catalysts for powerful individual and community change.
The James V. Brown Library is open for browsing and pick-up 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday; and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
