Echo of the Waltham Forest | Chingford executive assistant’s new venture a virtual success
Jo Sealy of the Waltham Forest Business Network talks to Cherrelle Stewart-White, who turned her career as an assistant into a virtual business, thriving during the pandemic …
Starting a business in the midst of a pandemic may seem daunting, but it turned out to be a smart move for a Chingford-based executive assistant.
In September 2020, Cherrelle Stewart-White created her company of virtual assistants, CSW VA. The company provides professional managerial support to entrepreneurs, CEOs and business leaders with the aim of making their working lives easier, balanced and better organized.
“The time spent during the lockdown gave me time to think about what I really want to do with my life,” Cherelle says. “I have spent the last 10 years working with demanding business leaders in the city, but I have always had a desire to work for myself, to do something that uses my passion to help others. get organized. I thought, “if not now, when?” And with this, the company was born.
In a world where business leaders have had to adapt to a new environment, virtual working methods have never been more essential. In response to this, CSW VA offers support packages to meet a range of requirements covering everything from administrative and commercial support to travel support, data support and research.
Cherrelle enjoys helping others run their businesses – and quickly builds a reputation for quality and efficiency. CSW VA was recently featured in a double page spread in Women Of The City magazine, raising its profile with its target customers and giving them a boost in personal confidence. “This article was an incredible advertisement!” she shares. “That, combined with the pandemic, means the company’s services are in greater demand than ever.”
Cherrelle is now working to put together a team of virtual assistants who become a business owner’s “secret weapon”, knowing that whatever the task is, it will get done.
“I’m a bit of a perfectionist and love being my own boss and working on my own terms. If you are planning to go for it, go ahead and don’t give up. It’s hard, but persevere. Find yourself a mentor or someone more experienced who can guide you and networking is essential! “
